From the drag strip to seeing mutimillion dollars cars, it was a busy weekend!
I'm starting to feel like I'm horrible at blogging. I know it has been another couple months since I last made a post. I hate making excuses but it just has been a busy couple months but now I'm back.
Now to get to what this post is about...my weekend. It all startedlast Friday when I got invited by a group of friends who were having a track rental at Etown. They asked me if i could come out and take some photos of the cars. Sadly I couldn't get over there right when they started due to me having to work that day. I lucked out though, since it rained the night before they had to dry the track Friday morning and when I got over there at noon they were just getting to racing.
The track rentals are always a great time and it always amazes me what comes out to run. We had everything from Fusions and Explorers to Tesla and a group of 8-9 second Mustang group. As always I tried to get the tradition launching shot of every car and then after that decide to get a little creative and try some different angles and shutter speeds. Overall the photos came out great and I look forward to shooting my next rental!
Then it was time to move on to Saturday, the day I was most excited for! This whole year I have been driving to Philly a couple times to take a photography class to help with my skills. This weekend was the last one they were having of the year and the best one in my opinion! It was a capturing speed class and our subjects to shoot that day was a 1963 Chevy Corvette Grand sport, and a 1964 Shelby Daytona. These two cars are very rare with them both being unrestored and still in driving condition. It was amazing getting to see a couple million dollars worth of cars in front of me along with getting to see them drive. It was a very fun time and it helped my skills of capturing speed, while getting to watch some racing history in front of me!
I look forward to the class next year as they will be doing more outdoor demo days when having the photography class which is great! If you look for a great photography class that deals with cars then go check out the Simeone Museum in Philly and i know you will enjoy the class!
Overall it was a great weekend and I took Sunday to catch up on some rest and get ready for the work week. I am in the process of updating this site and changing it around a little more. I will be making this more of showing off my best work instead of showing everything I do. If you want to see all of my photos go check out my Facebook by clicking the Facebook logo on here. I will be posting to this blog more often to talk about what I'm up to so make sure to keep an eye out here for more!
